Roberta DeMuro, born and brought up in Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada, started singing at the tender age of five, in the church choir. She grew up with yearly music festivals and Conservatory vocal training.

 

Much to her music teacher’s dismay, she decided to sing pop music for a living.

 

The piano playing came much later, when she was already singing professionally. She calls it her “on the job training”.

 

Roberta has performed in a variety of theatrical shows, including “Annie Get Your Gun”and “Hello Dolly” and (some call it type casting) she played the part of Jeanette in The Full Monty.

 

Roberta feels very fortunate to be a professional musician, as it has allowed her to travel to some of the most wonderful places in the world, such as Acapulco, Mykonos, Greece, Scandinavia, Germany, England and to perform on countless cruise ships, including Norwegian, Carnival, the Yankee Clippers, as well as American Cruises.

 

These days, Roberta is one of the lucky ones they refer to as “snow birds”, spending half the year in Bar Harbor, Maine and the other half in South Florida.

• Performed at fund raiser for World Peace organized for former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell, who was the peace negotiator for Britain & Northern Ireland.
